Hyfer objects

Redefining the world of design

Award winning entrepreneurs and founders Kristina Tjäder, Sara Stendebakken, and Axel Andersson, with backgrounds in retail, hospitality and engineering, have united to redefine the world of luxury and interior design. Together, they founded Hyfer Objects, a design studio and brand dedicated to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through innovative materials and cutting-edge production methods.

Hyfer, derived from the Swedish name for Hyphae, the branching filaments of fungal mycelium, symbolizing the hidden potential in what often goes unnoticed. Just as hyphae form the foundation of the natural world, unseen until a mushroom appears, Hyfer Objects sees a value in the often overlooked waste materials that surround us.

At the core of our practice is the use of industrial and post-production waste as the raw material. Every product is designed to withstand the test of time and with circularity in mind, enabling materials to be recycled and reused in future designs. This creates a continuous loop, a new standard for sustainability in luxury design.

Sustainability

Sustainability is part of Hyfer Objects' DNA. Hyfer Objects was founded on the idea that advanced products do not have to equal an abundance of finite natural resources and that waste materials can be converted into higher value. Circularity is always on top of mind, and we work with sustainability from the first sketch to the last recycling process and all the small details in-between. craftmanship

We design every piece with the ambition of creating the next design classic. The design process includes a lot of physical sketching and prototyping in clay and paper, always bouncing between the physical and digital design methods. Although our final products are made with a machine, we take a lot of pride in our design process and think of it as digital craftsmanship. Our products are often inspired by nature and organic shapes, connecting out biophilic and technical interests to unique design pieces.

innovation

Through creativity and technological advances, we are redefining what is possible in sustainable design. If we don't dare to try new things and push the boundaries, we will not move forward. We are constantly exploring new ways to transform discarded materials into exclusive furniture. Do you have sustainable materials or exciting ideas to share? Reach out to us here.
